Gnome Rhone AX2

Year:1939
Power:22PS
Capacity:800ccm
Weight:380kg

From 1930 the French company Gnome Rhone located near Paris produced large motorcycles with boxer engines which somewhat resembled the BMW motorcycles.

The AX 2 with an 800 cc / SV boxer engine is the largest of this series.

Equipped with a sidecar with driven wheel it was built especially for the military between 1936 and 1945.

The engine has 4 speeds and a cardan drive.

The maximum speed with sidecar is about 110 km/h.

It is recommended to use the sidecar drive only off road since otherwise the motorcycle is difficult to control.
