Ordered as a raw body for a rebuilt, this car in parts was used later for constructing a new racing car for the Jochen Rohr racing team of Cincinnati/USA.
Since the officially produced Carrera RSR 3.8 were long sold out by then, Rohr used the opportunity to order a new factory body without chassis number and type label as replacement for a RS 3.8 that had crashed before.
Official notes by Porsche assign this vehicle to the Carrera RSR 3.8 series.
The car first competed on 30 May 1994 as Rohr 02 in the 1 hour race of Lime Rock and Participated in the 1994 IMSA series, mostly with Jochen Rohr as driver.
