At the end of this season N. Mansell won the long desired world championship, after he had barely missed it on Williams three times in the years before.
But in in the very next three races, the Williams pilots N. Mansell and R. Patrese achieved a double win.
Within five races, one behind the over, he won and showed his skill and demonstrated the superiority of his car.
After eleven runs of totally sixteen he became world champion.
